Popup Building Shares the Same Builder Surface

Popup creation in SGEN now follows the same builder surface as page construction. The same components, the same canvas, the same workflow — no separate plugin, no separate editor, no context switch.

What's now available

In a typical franken-stack, popups need their own plugin, their own editor, and their own broken UX sitting beside the page builder. SGEN's scoped component system lets popups share the page builder conflict-free. Open the Popups panel inside SG-Builder and the surface is identical to the one you already use for pages — same toolbar, same drag-and-drop canvas, same component library.

Why it matters

A shared builder model lowers friction for teams building multiple kinds of front-end experiences. When popups and pages live on the same surface, the mental overhead of switching tools disappears. There is one thing to learn, one thing to document, and one thing to operate.

Design
One canvas for everything

Design a popup exactly the way you design a page section — drag components in, set styles, preview. No plugin settings to translate, no separate CSS context to manage.

Operations
Less tool switching

Teams that previously bounced between a page editor and a popup tool can now stay inside SG-Builder for the full front-end workflow. Fewer context switches, fewer places to check when something needs updating.

Where it fits in SGEN

This update is part of SGEN keeping more capability inside the platform rather than spreading it across disconnected tools. Popups are now a first-class surface inside SG-Builder — the same product category as pages, treated with the same tooling and the same visual editing model.

SG-Builder

Access popups via the Popups panel inside the builder. Same component library and canvas as standard pages.

Shortcodes

Embed a popup anywhere in a page or post using a shortcode. The builder handles the design; the shortcode handles placement.

Heads up No setup required. The Popups panel is already available inside SG-Builder on all plans that include SG-Builder access.
