Phone Tap Attribution Is Now Available

Phone tap attribution is now part of the SGEN attribution surface. Phone interactions connect to the session context around them — including the source path that led a visitor to the site — giving lead-generation teams a more useful signal than a raw click count alone.

What's now available

In a typical plugin tower, phone-click tracking comes from one plugin, source attribution from another, and the numbers never agree. SGEN's scoped component system pairs phone tap with session-aware attribution in a single conflict-free surface. Every phone interaction is tied to the session that preceded it — channel, campaign, referrer, and landing path included.

Why it matters for lead generation

A phone tap on its own is an event. With attribution, it becomes a signal with context. Teams can see which source paths are driving phone inquiries — not just that the phone number was clicked.

Before
Raw click counts

Phone interactions recorded as isolated events with no connection to the visitor session, channel, or source that preceded them.

Now
Session-aware attribution

Phone taps tied to the full session context — source path, referrer, campaign — so each interaction contributes to the larger attribution picture.

Where it fits

Phone tap attribution lives on the SGEN attribution surface inside SG-Admin. It is one of the higher-value modules to surface at launch because it connects directly to practical business reporting for lead-focused sites — particularly those where phone calls are the primary conversion action.
