Pre-launch feature suite ready
April 6, 2026. Five core authoring capabilities reach customer-ready state on the same day — autosave, protected posts, popups, forms, and icons. The day-to-day editing toolkit is complete.
What's ready
Autosave. Edits persist as you type. Close the tab, lose power, walk away — your work is there when you come back. No more "did I save that?" panic. Autosave runs on pages, posts, forms, popups, and every other editable surface.
Protected posts. Lock a post behind a password or a logged-in-user requirement. Useful for client previews, member-only content, gated downloads. The protection is enforced at the public-site render level, not client-side — visitors who don't have access never see the protected body.
Popups. Build a popup once, attach to any page. Sidebar slide-ins, modal overlays, exit-intent prompts, banner strips. Each popup carries its own trigger rules (scroll depth, time on page, exit intent, click target). No third-party tool needed.
Forms. Build a form with the visual editor, route submissions to email + storage + integrations. Form fields cover text, email, phone, dropdown, checkbox, radio, file upload, date, signature, and more. Each form ships with built-in spam protection and submission storage.
Icons. A curated icon set is available across the visual editor, the popup builder, and the form builder. Pick from the library or upload your own SVG. Icons scale, recolor, and reflow with the surrounding design.
Why this matters
A platform launch isn't just the platform — it's whether the daily authoring toolkit is in place when teams start building. Most launches ship core, then play catch-up on the productivity tools customers need every day.
SGEN's approach: the daily toolkit lands first, before the platform goes public. Autosave, popups, forms, and protected posts aren't roadmap items — they're already there when the first customer logs in. The first hour using SGEN feels complete because the productivity surface is complete.
How these connect
The five capabilities aren't isolated features. They compose:
- Autosave + protected posts: type freely behind a password without worrying about losing work
- Popups + forms: build a lead-capture popup with a form inside
- Forms + icons: forms that look designed, not generic
- Popups + icons: icon-led popup triggers (close icon, info icon, etc.) that match your brand
- Autosave + popups: edit a popup over multiple sessions without losing state
Every authoring surface inherits autosave. Every visual surface picks from the icon library. Every interactive surface (popups, forms) writes to the same submission storage so you can read all responses in one place.
What you can build on day one
- A multi-page marketing site with a contact form on every page, a newsletter popup on the home page, an exit-intent download offer on the pricing page, and protected case-study posts for sales-qualified leads
- A members-only resource library where the index is public but each resource is password-protected
- An event microsite with an RSVP form, a popup countdown, and protected speaker biographies released after registration
- A small ecommerce surface with product pages, a contact-sales popup on high-intent product pages, and a request-quote form for enterprise products
All five capabilities are first-class. No "feature lite" tiers. No "available on the Pro plan" gating. Every Sandbox-and-above account has them.
Next steps
- Open the visual editor and try the autosave behavior — type, close the tab, return. The draft is there.
- Build a small form to feel the field-by-field configuration.
- Drop a popup on a test page with an exit-intent trigger.
- Lock a post with a password and verify the public-site render hides the body.
Each capability has its own Reference page with field-level detail.
