How to Complete Site Setup in SGEN
This procedure covers the first controlled pass after a site has been created. It starts from Site Manager and moves through the actions that matter immediately: domain, staging access, site settings, and user access.
Before you start
You should already have:
Where to go
Start from Site Manager:
Use your normal SG-Dashboard access.
Go to the area where your site cards are listed and managed.
Locate the site card for the domain you just created. This card is the control surface for the first setup pass.
Steps
Use the site card to move through the first setup actions in order.
Start from the site card and confirm which actions are available for the new site.
If the domain has not been pointed yet, click Point your domain and complete the DNS step first.
Use View Staging Site to inspect the staging build, or Login to Stage to enter the staging site already logged into SG-Admin.
Open Manage Site Settings, review the setup areas, and use Add users if more team access is required.
In site settings, review the available setup areas such as Google Integrations, Reporting Settings, and Locations.
Use the Dashboard Getting Started sequence as the next task order: Connect Google integrations, Add your locations, and Generate your first report.
What each site-card action means
Use the site-card actions as follows:
Use this when DNS still needs to be updated.
Opens the live site in a new tab if the domain has propagated.
Opens the live site in a new tab when live is available.
Opens the staging build in a new tab.
Opens the staging build already logged into SG-Admin.
Opens site-specific settings inside SG-Dashboard.
Opens the invite flow so additional users can be added by email.
What success looks like
Site setup is moving correctly when:
What to do if it does not work
Use the correct response for the state you are in.
Live may still be waiting on DNS propagation or certificate provisioning. Continue setup in staging.
Check billing state. If billing is unsettled or cancelled, resolve billing first.
Complete the A-record step before expecting live to behave normally.
